Employees in junior roles earned pretty much the same amount though at €4360, giving no allowance for the greater experience a junior would have.
Mid-level and senior developers earned €4,861 and €5,090 respectively while lead developers earned €5,206. In an interesting quirk, executives earned less than senior developers, making €4,979 on average.
For overall salaries in offers on MeetFrank, we calculated the total average for 2019. Developers earned a minimum average of €3,113 per month, blowing away their colleagues in other countries, while the maximum average was €5,018.
The highest salary offered for a software development job in Finland was an unreal €10,600. Yeah, you have permission to drool at that one.
The monthly averages for January to July 2019 also indicated the high salaries earned by software developers in Finland. The average for January was €4,286 while February’s was €4,139. Although there was a decrease to €3,655 in March, salaries recovered pretty nicely to €4,137 in April.
Again, we observed that the summer lull that usually affects other job tracks didn’t really show up here. Between May to July 2019, the lowest average recorded was €3,951 in May and the highest, €4,085 in July.

Average salaries for software development jobs in Lithuania
The salaries per seniority do not entirely reflect this disparity in offers per role though. Entry and junior employees earned an average of €2,113 and €2,372 per month respectively. This makes sense, considering that candidates in these roles would be the least skilled members of the team.
Employees in mid-level roles earned almost €1,000 more, at €3,233 per month, on average. Senior team members earned €3425 and those in lead roles earned a close €3520.
The close spread between average salaries for these roles does not seem to indicate much difference in the skills and responsibilities of individuals in the roles.
Executives earned the most on average, with a monthly salary of €3,990. This is consistent with their role as team leaders and directors of strategy.
The general averages for minimum and maximum gross salaries did not display any close spread though. The average minimum between January and July 2019 was €1,499 while the average maximum was €3,281.
The highest salary offered on the platform was almost double the average maximum though, at €6,000.
Monthly averages were a lot closer than that though. January started out with an average of €2,194 while February’s average was €2,068. The highest for the half year was posted in July, at €2,844.
There’s one intriguing aspect to the data though. Generally, summer months witness a reduction in general average salaries offered. This is often due to reduced recruitment activity during the period.
The period was better than usual for software development jobs in Lithuania though. From the high point of €2,579 in March, salaries were barely lower in May as the average of €2,383 showed. June was even better with €2,518. Intriguing eh? Seems there wasn’t much of a summer break in Lithuania this year.

Requirements for JavaScript, frontend development and SQL made up the rest of the top 5, being required 6%, 5% and 4% of the time respectively.
The top three skills provide all the insight you need if you’re wondering what skills are required to earn big. In order to make north of €4,000 per month, you need to be proficient in full-stack development, backend development and speak some pretty good Java.

According to our data on offers for software development jobs in Estonia for 2019, employers are most interested in senior developers. Out of the total offers on the platform between January to July 2019, 367 were made to developers in senior roles.
Mid-level developers were almost in similar demand, coming in second at 337, with offer for lead developers following close.
Entry roles attracted the least offers, barely entering into double figures, with only 15 offers recorded on the platform. Although there were more than 6 times more offers for junior developers, the figures indicate a continuing general trend.
Employers are showing quite a preference for experienced hands over candidates in lower cadre roles. This might be a signal for candidates to skill-up and obtain critical experience before hunkering down for the perfect job search.

Quite well actually. For our track on average salaries per seniority, we found that entry roles averaged around €2,440 per month. Mid-level roles attracted €1,000 more at €3440 per month.
The highest paid employees were executives with an average monthly salary of €4,234, reinforcing the enhanced roles they’ll be expected to play in companies.
Our data on the general averages for software jobs in Estonia makes for more interesting reading though. At the lower end of the scale, the average minimum salary recorded on MeetFrank was €1,934 and at the other end, the average maximum was €3,617.
Blowing the caps off both averages though was the highest offer recorded. Some lucky person (hey it’s 2019, gender neutrality is woke) took home a surreal monthly check of €8,800.
As far as overall averages from month to month went, the figures were a lot closer. The lowest monthly average for the year was recorded in February, at €2,546 while the highest was €3,005, recorded in the month of July.

The top 5 in-demand skills didn’t cut an awful lot out of that figure either. Full-stack development, backend development and JavaScript attracted the most demand, at 7% each.
Frontend development skills were required 6% of the time and Java was required for 5% of offers.
Considering the wide spread of required competencies, we were interested in finding what skills you would need to make the most buck for your metaphorical bang.
Turns out you need backend development, full-stack development and Java skills to earn far north of €2,500. Essentially, you need to possess at least the top 19% of required skills to stand a chance at making your dream salary.
